The first question is one that hasnt really had much of an impact on my idea as it is a combination of narrative & concept, which the results show are the 2 most popular genres, however what it has done is persuaded me to use more concept conventions than narrative so that it has more appeal to my target market.
The second questions results have had a major impact in deciding what design I will go with for the band logo. Previously I was undecided but the results show that the black hole is a clear favourite with my target audience so thats the image Im going to be using within the band logos design.
The song used in my music video will be in the 'Indie' genre and the results from this survey show that its one of the most popular genres within my target audience, as due to the genres growth over the past several years it is now considered more mainstream which will help the video to appeal to a mass audience.
This question has also had an impact on my final plans as I was planning on using lip sync in certain shots for the video however the poll from my audience has shown that for the majority of them they dont think its important, and given that my idea is a combination of concept & narrative I feel the video as a whole will now be better with no lip sync so it can go in a clearer direction rather than trying to combine aspects of a performance music video as well.
The results of this question show that the feedback has come from a clear majority of my target audience which is the age range of the young hopefuls (16-25) meaning that the feedback is valid, but I also wanted people from other age ranges to answer it as I feel the music video could have mass audience appeal, due to the theme being relatable to a variety of age groups.
